Live Oak Charter was successful in co-founding a new public Waldorf school for Petaluma & beyond. We have expanded our community, become a certified public Waldorf school and a dependent charter of Petaluma City Schools. Over the summer, we moved from our longtime home on the Petaluma fairgrounds to the gorgeous Valley Vista campus. We are now:

Valley Vista Public Waldorf Highlights
Established in 2025, our school is:
- a TK-8th grade public school
- a dependent charter school within the Petaluma City Schools District
- a certified member of the Waldorf Alliance for Public Education
- a possible choice for any student who resides in the State of California
- a medium school of about 480 students from about 300 families
- home to a vibrant, rigorous and supportive middle school (about 100 students)
- brings 24 years of Waldorf experience from Live Oak Charter & 70 years of Valley Vista Elementary
- held by an intergenerational, supportive, creative, passionate and deeply caring community
- located on the gorgeous Valley Vista campus at 730 N Webster Street, Petaluma CA 94952
