Events

Live Oak Charter School holds a weekly Farmers' Market every Thursday on our miminum day, from September through December and beginning again in late March through May. Sponsored by a class, each market offers a lunch along with various seasonal crafts and produce. 

The school year begins with Back-to-School Night in mid-September which offers parents experiential presentations of classroom life. It's a great way to begin the new school year. 

In early October, Live Oak sponsors the classic Waldorf "Dragon Pageant" which is a festival gateway into the coming Winter season.

In mid-November, the Kindergarten Lantern Walk is one of two school-sponsored Festivals of Light.  In early December, First, Second and Third Grade students participate in the Winter Spiral.

The calendar year ends with a Winter Assembly that takes place on the last Thursday before Winter Break, at which Second through Eighth Grade students perform for parents and friends.

Day in the Kindergarten takes place in early February, as part of the School's annual enrollment outreach activities. Prospective Kindergarten parents and children can experience elements of the Kindergarten day and learn about the program.

In mid-March, Friends of Live Oak conducts its annual Treasures from the Heart Benefit Auction that offers a gourmet dinner, wine bar, music, a dance band and both silent and live auction items — including beautiful class projects made by the children.
